A Good Neighbor

Penny opened her front door. Frank Enstein handed her a dilapidated box complete with bow.

She hadn't seen Frank since Snuffles the Cat had been killed in a drive-by.

"Open! Hurry!"

The top of the box lifted on its own.

Penny screamed. Snuffles, alive again, wanted attention.

Lisa Haselton needs to write as much as she needs oxygen to breathe. Recently deciding to focus on her passion instead of a paycheck, Lisa now rushes to write all the stories swirling in her head. The characters dictate the genre and length of story, so she never has a dull moment. Writing flash and micro-fiction are quite rewarding for this wordy writer. Thank you MAK!
